The former vault in the basement is home to the second iteration of Bar Lina, our Italian bar serving cocktails, wine and beer late into the night. Located beneath our restaurant on Shoreditch High Street, Bar Lina is our Italian bar serving modern twists on classic Italian cocktails. Accessed through a separate entrance and down a staircase, the space – once the back of house for an 1868 bank – has been transformed into a low-lit hideout, perfect for starting the night or spending the evening losing track of time, with the bank’s original vault having been converted into a semi-private lounge, seating up to 15 guests.

A cosy, speakeasy-esque bar under Soho’s iconic Italian delicatessen, Lina Stores. Head down into the basement beneath the pastel green hues of Lina Stores and you’ll find Bar Lina with its altogether plusher red velvet decor and cocktails with an Italian twist. The Bloody Martini (vodka, vermouth, crystal clear coffee-filtered tomato water) is a clever mash-up of the two favourites, while their intriguing speciality beverages are also supplemented by classics and spritzes.

A Soho deli selling authentic Italian produce, pastas and panini may not be the enough first thing that comes to mind when planning your next night out (we highly recommend stocking up on cured meat and cheese during the day though) but don’t let the façade fool you. Bar Lina is a hidden cocktail spot beneath Lina Stores for in-the-know Londoners (which now includes you). Knock on the door after hours, step past shelves overflowing with delicious Italian delicacies and descend the stairs into a basement bar decked out with mood lighting, plush velvet seating, and deep red hues. It’s a perfect spot for a refreshing aperitivo before your meal elsewhere (though we guarantee you’ll want to return for a nightcap). Expect expertly crafted aperitivo and dedicated Negroni and Spritz lists. There’s also delicious Italian snacks like crispy arancini or truffle crostini to pair your drink with if you’re feeling peckish.

Inspired by Italy’s renowned bar culture, Bar Lina is a low-lit hideout found in Soho, Shoreditch, Manchester and Canary Wharf, serving the best of Italian spirits, wines and beers. With a nod to Italian design from the late 60s to 80s, it is the perfect space for aperitivo hour, a tipple after dinner, or simply to linger the night. In Manchester, drinks are expertly accompanied by curated DJ nights playing Italo disco, funk and electronic music on Fridays and Saturdays until late.

Beneath the mint green facade of the forever-packed Lina Stores deli in Soho, you’ll find a deliciously dark aperitivo spot. At Bar Lina, you’ll find a succinct (yet satisfying) menu of spuntini (snacks) to accompany its artfully curated cocktail menu: four kinds of negroni, three kinds of spritzes, a host of classics and some brand-new creations. Oh, and there’s now a second iteration beneath the Lina Stores restaurant in Shoreditch.

The Balsamico negroni (made with balsamic vinegar vermouth and basil-infused Campari)

mood A sexy, dark speakeasy, perfect for clandestine meetings.
