Elsewhere in Mayfair, Mr Porter is busy upending everything we thought we knew about steakhouses: think flatteringly low lighting, undulating velvet curtains and a hugely Instagrammable reflective copper ceiling. Award-winning interiors aside, this is also a place where the food and drinks are pleasantly fresh and refined – the dedicated carpaccio bar is a particular delight.

Through February and into March, Mr Porter is serving a playful trio of mini Margaritas: a classic pink version, a fruity Momorita with peach liquer and kaffir lime sake, and a spicy mango-jalapeño number, paired with seabass carpaccio, oysters and yellowtail sashimi.
