Tucked beneath Zephyr (the self-styled ‘Greek experience restaurant), this subterranean bar is a softly lit, retro cavern with a focus on agave spirits – if you’re on the hunt for Notting Hill’s best margarita, you’ll find it served here with a splash of pineapple. With just 35 seats, it’s small enough to feel intimate but with enough of a vibe to create that ‘Friday night’ feeling on any day of the week – although it is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Whenever you visit, though, you should absolutely book a table upstairs for dinner – the sea bass is excellent.

It’s clear that a huge amount of effort has gone into the design here and the bar’s every bit as photogenic as their cocktails, all of which incorporate agave. They regularly have live DJs playing here and the intimate space has room for 35 covers, so it’s a fantastic shout if you’re after a venue to host your next special occasion.

Situated in Notting Hill, Naked & Famous is a real hidden gem. Located in one of London's favourite postcodes, Naked & Famous is one of the latest additions to vibrant Portobello Road. The late-night drinking den is everything you need for an intimate date-night experience and an immaculate Instagram photo, to boot. The Agave and spirit-focused menu. The bar stocks an incredible 40 different Tequilas and Mezcal and the team prides itself on their Agave trend knowledge. As above, the bar specialises in Tequila and Mescal (they have a great range of other drinks stocked, too). That said, the Tequila and Mezcal cocktails really are very good - it is their speciality, after all, and you're sure to try some delicious and rare finds.

You’ve probably seen Greek restaurant Zēphyr’s cool interiors doing the rounds on TikTok. The Portobello Road restaurant recently opened an agave bar in the basement with warm 70s-inspired interiors and cool bubble seating. Open Tuesdays to Saturdays from 6pm, the bar has a buzzy vibe, whether you’re heading there on the weekend or fancy an extra drink after a midweek dinner upstairs. We like the signature ‘Naked & Famous’ cocktail made with mezcal, tequila blanco, herbal liqueur and agave, as well as other agave-based cocktails made with sustainable spirits, as well as low-intervention wines and champagnes.
